Prize in recognition of innovation
The Stuttgart-based removal firm ARNHOLDT & SOHN was presented with a prize in recognition of its innovation by the Ministry of Economics in Baden-Württemberg as part of the “Service Provider of the Year 2008” for the Self Storage concept it developed in 2006. The prize was awarded on 22nd July in the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce by Economics Minister Ernst Pfister. Minister Pfister stated, “We hope that this competition will highlight the significant innovation, growth and employment potential in the service sector and improve the standing of service provides in Baden-Württemberg.”
In his speech praising examples of service innovations, Guy Selbherr, Member of the Executive Board of the Bürgschaftsbank Baden-Württemberg, stated: “ARNHOLDT & SOHN started out as a tradition removal company. With the targeted expansion of its service portfolio to include innovative logistics and warehousing services, ARHOLDT & SOHN has successfully established itself in the market – in spite of difficult market conditions in the logistics industry.” He also highlighted the setting up of Archivdepot GmbH, the first of its kind in the Stuttgart region to offer document storage and management as a combined service on the market. A further service innovation by ARNOLDT is its “Self Storage”. Without relying on third parties, this self-storage option enables individuals to use a range of sizes of safe, modern storage spaces at extremely cost-effective prices.
